An early Aug 2015 hike to see the reported Helm Glacier melt in Garibaldi Provincial Park. I don't recall seeing the glacier without some snow cover protecting the ice. However, in this hot dry year the Helm Glacier seems prone to the melting power of the summer sun with the eastern edges of the glacier caving and melting fast.
