Barcelona is an iconic city brand and is on every tourist’s (and jaded traveler’s) agenda. It is architecture and Gaudi; it is medieval and modern; it is lunch at a busy market and tapas at night; it is politics and protest; it is loud, crowded, and exciting. And it’s not Spain. It’s proudly Catalonian.
